What is the difference between a scratch bakery and a supermarket bakery (box bakery)?
Put simply, there is a world of difference, but the main thing is the ingredients that go into the final product. A scratch bakery will bake everything from scratch. This means you are not getting any preservatives or other chemicals in your baked goods. Your product is made in the morning and baked that same day. In a supermarket setting, that product may have been produced months ago and is shipped in a box where it may sit in a freezer for a period of time until it is baked... Any wonder it needs preservatives!!!
What makes a bakery Kosher?

links to various Kashrus organizations for more information. In short, a Kosher bakery requires a good supervising agency, a lot of research into the raw ingredients, and most importantly trust and integrity.
What is the best way to place an order?
Ordering is not always necessary for regular items, but it is best for custom work. You can phone your order in, fax it, or email us. Our voicemail is set up to accept orders 24 hours a day, and you will receive a call back by 7:00am the next morning, or earlier if requested. If faxing an order, please download our
order form and have all information filled out.
When should I place an order for a decorated cake or other items?
Two to three days for cakes is usually sufficient with more notice for elaborate cakes or wedding cakes. Cookies, pastries, pies, etc. can be ordered any time since these are stock items baked fresh daily.
Can I have a custom design or photo drawn on my cake?
Any photo can be copied on a cake as long as there is no copyright attached to it. We have many copyrighted designs to choose from and charges vary with the type of design.
I need a condolence tray for today or tomorrow. Is that possible?
Indeed, we will make up and deliver condolence trays with little notice. Just have all information pertaining to the house of mourning, and we will contact them directly to arrange for delivery.
I need a cake for today. Is it possible to have one made up on such short notice?
The answer is yes and no... Whenever possible we will try to accommodate you with your special request. When that is not possible, you will be offered a selection from one of our fresh frozen cakes and the salespeople will be happy to custom inscribe it at no additional charge.
Can I have any of your products shipped?
Please visit our online store, and whereever you see the UPS logo, that item is shippable. Most orders are shipped ground service, unless you want it faster.
